Our Memorial Christmas Tree initiative 2016

we'd love for you to come and join in

Christmas isn’t too far away now, and while it’s a time of celebration for most people, we recognise that it’s a very difficult time for those who’ve suffered a bereavement and are missing a loved one.

It’s our priority to make sure that anybody who’s struggling after losing a loved one, especially at this time of year, has the opportunity to remember them in their own special way.

We’re not just there when our services are needed, we’re there throughout the whole journey of bereavement.

Once again this year, we’re running our Memorial Christmas Tree scheme in our funeral homes, and are inviting anybody who wants to, to come in and hang a remembrance tag on our trees.

The idea is that those who’ve lost a loved one visit their local funeral home, write a personal message on one of our tags, hang it on the tree, and take a moment to reflect.

By the time Christmas arrives we’ll have a beautiful Memorial Christmas Tree in our funeral homes, that’s filled with remembrance messages from people in the local community.

Our doors are open to absolutely anybody and everybody – you don’t have to have arranged a funeral with us, and equally your loss doesn’t have to have been recent.

We welcome anybody who wants to remember a lost loved one.

Contact your local funeral home to find out when they’re putting up their tree – if you don’t know where your local funeral home is, you can search here.

Have a chat with your local team about other local Christmas remembrance activities they might have organised too – as they’d love for you to get involved.
